Depart from the UK and arrive at Dharamsala airport (before midday) where you will be met by your in-country host and be transferred to Palumpur. After a welcome meal and orientation at the volunteer house, you have a chance to relax and settle in and get used to the local surroundings.
Every morning you will wake and have breakfast overlooking the Himalayas before you finalise your lesson plan for that day. There is no end to the useful things you could be teaching the children which will really enhance their life prospects. Sports, drama and arts are three things often overlooked in their curriculum so you have the chance to teach them skills they would not normally have a chance to experience. In your free time you will be able to explore Palumpur, and experience the beauty of Indian culture, its people and scenery. It will certainly be an unforgettable 3 weeks!
Depending upon your international flight back to the UK, you will be transferred to Daram Shala airport for your flight home or onwards travel. If you are participating in our extension trip, you will be transferred to begin the trip!
