Develop new skills and explore the world
Our adventure travel packages give school and university students the opportunity to challenge themselves and develop their teamwork, communication skills and confidence.
Volunteer work in local communities helps to give students new perspectives on life, while trekking gives them the chance to see some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes.
A group adventure with Challenges Abroad can also double up as a charity challenge, giving students the opportunity to raise funds for worthy causes. Below are a few of the student groups we have worked with:
Romania, Peru, Tanzania
Our team has worked in collaboration with Durham University Charities Committee to place students on a range of group adventure trips in Romania, Peru and Tanzania.
In 2009, we organised a charity challenge in Romania, where students spent three weeks working on a village regeneration scheme, supporting youths from difficult backgrounds.
In 2010, we are arranging for Durham students to take part in community volunteer work in Romania and Tanzania, as well as in Peru where they will be hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. These trips are raising funds in aid of the FutureSense Foundation, a registered charity which helps us to support development work in underprivileged communities.
India
Working with Leeds University’s School of Applied Global Ethics and Business School, we are organising volunteer work for students travelling to India. Students will take part in a range of voluntary projects as an accredited part of their course.
